Oh right.. my blog :)

Posted in Life and all that. at 8:38 pm by Soosh

Hi !
Yes I’m still alive! I don’t really know what to blog exactly, because life has been good. Ofcourse it’s never all good, but I can deal with that. Everybody has to deal with that I guess. Work has been fine, mostly kinda busy, sometimes a little slow. My education is going pretty well, it’s really working. I think I’m getting smarter or at least more educated. This is proven by the fact that I need glasses.. Apparently my left eye was created first as a try-out and didn’t turn out to be exactly perfect, my right-eye however is kinda perfect ;) So I’ve ordered my first pair of glasses ever. I think I’ve tried every pair of glasses in my hometown and only one doesn’t make me look like a complete dork, maybe just 10-20% dorkier than I usually am. That’s acceptable I figured, so I ordered it.

Other than that, I don’t really have anything to tell.
Maybe later :)

Love,
Soosh

Dear person..

I don’t know who you are, I don’t know why you keep calling, I don’t know why you hang up the phone the second I pick up. What I do know is that my phone-company will try to help me find you, so maybe, just once, we can have an actual conversation.

Talk to you soon!

Moving

Posted in Life and all that. at 6:32 pm by Soosh

So this weekend I was helping some friends who are moving. We rented a boedelbak which is a kind of trailer. I wasn’t really awake yet and since I was mostly there for the driving part I wasn’t really paying attention and let my friends hook the trailer to my car.

When we started driving I said; ‘Oh, I think we should have put the license plate on the trailer.’ But I didn’t really feel like pulling over and besides, what are the odds that you run in some police officers who will actually notice? Unfortunately for me, we were gonna find out REALLY soon.

We passed some police officers on scooters and I said: ‘Oh, crap, I’m not wearing my seat belt.. oh well, we’ve already passed them.’ When I passed a corner and saw the police officers on their scooters passing me and stopping a little ahead, I was suspecting I might have a problem. Of course they stopped me, asked me for my drivers license, pointed out that I was not wearing my seat belt and asked me if I had a license plate for the trailer. I put the license plate on the trailer immediately, showed the officers my drivers license and was about as apologetic as I could be about the seat belt.

They pointed out that the trailer was not perfectly connected to the car (which would be ticket 3) and they wanted to check if I was allowed to drive with this specific trailer with my drivers license (which could have been ticket 4).

When the trailer was connected perfectly to the car and they cleared me for driving with this specific trailer, they told me that they would just give me warnings (on all 3 accounts) and told me to wear my seat belt.

Pfew.. close one. I am almost considering making a habit out of wearing my seat belt ;)

New Leaf

Posted in Life and all that. at 9:40 am by Soosh

I’ve been back home for about a year now. My blog has been quiet ever since. Too many people to see, too many places to go and too much stuff to do. Now, in a way life has calmed down and everything went back to normal. However, normal doesn’t mean uneventful.

When I returned to Holland, I got myself a job like so many other jobs. The kind of dead-end job, that makes you wonder if you’re ever going to reach the age where you can retire. This job is like most of the jobs I’ve had, about as challenging as watching paint dry. I think I can do a whole lot more, but somehow employers are not exactly standing in line to give me any opportunities. So I’ve decided to get myself educated, so at least employers will not decide I’m a dumb ass after glancing at my resume.

I’m also trying to change jobs, because this one is just taking the life out of me. I’m having a bore-out here and it makes me lazy, uninterested and uninteresting. So I’ve decided to turn over a new leaf! Now all I have to do is to figure out where I want to be in life and the quickest way to get there.

Wish me luck ;)

P.S. Blogging in English is a lot harder when you’re no longer speaking English all the time, so I apologize for any errors I might have made.
